This 7-day Uganda epic safari will give you endless chances to view Big 5 animals and other wildlife species as well as beautiful bird species that inhabit the pearl of Africa. The visitor will also have an opportunity to indulge in some of the most exciting activities especially the boat cruises, and game drives and interact with the indigenous people who have inhabited southwestern Uganda since time immemorial.
Such encounters will really make this trip an unforgettable one and tourists will leave with a lot of information, learn and master things about Uganda
Guests will be picked up from the hotel in Kampala by a professional tourist guide after which they will embark on the drive to Kibale National Park in a four-wheel vehicle, a journey that will take you about five hours and 45 minutes.
The drive will take you through the different towns of Uganda and various flat landscapes, highlands and valleys. Guests will be served a delicious lunch on arrival at the National Park. Continue & into the lodge and relax in the evening as you view the forests primates therein and the birds from the lodge premises. A scrumptious dinner will be served later at sunset and you will stay for an overnight.
Guests will be served in mouth watering breakfast very early in the morning at sunrise. Continue to the forests for the exciting chimpanzee tracking activity with the guidance of the game Rangers. The activity will take about two hours and after you will transfer back to the lodge for relaxation. Lunch will be served later in the afternoon.
After lunch, embark on the transfer to Bigodi wetland sanctuary where you will have a nature walk that will help you appreciate the natural feels of the forest and also has opportunities to view bird species that inhabit the sanctuary which encompasses cuckoo shrike, egrets, hammerkops, cinnamons, African paradise flycatcher, African fish eagles, turacos, Abyssinian ground hornbill, yellow-billed oxpecker, grey crowned cranes and shoebills. Transfer back to the lodge later at around 6:00 PM where you’ll be served a mouthwatering dinner and have an overnight stay.
Guests will have an early morning meal at the lodge facility. After there, embark on the drive to the crater lakes of Ndali and Kasenda. The crater lakes will provide the visitor with picturesque views that are good for photography. The top-of-the-world experience will further provide better views of the surrounding areas and photography opportunities. Transfer back to the lodge for an appetizing lunch.
After lunch, embark on the journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park which is approximately a two hours and 36 minutes drive. Check in at the lodge in Queen Elizabeth and tour around the lodge the rest of the evening as you view the wilderness. Dinner will be served at dusk and you will stay for a peaceful overnight.
Guests will have a delicious breakfast served to them at the lodge very early in the morning. After breakfast, embark on a guided early morning game drive through the Kasenyi sector that will provide opportunities to view animals especially the big 4 excluding rhinos, and crocodiles on the banks of Kazinga channel and beautiful bird species. Head back to the lodge for lunch.
After lunch, transfer to Kazinga channel for an exhilarating boat cruise that will provide visitors with opportunities to relax as they view the Queen Elizabeth wilderness from the water.
The boat cruise will also provide opportunities to encounter more wild species especially African buffaloes and zebras as they drink water at Lake Edward. Transfer back to the lodge at sunset for a mouth-watering dinner and a stay for the night.
Have an early meal in the morning at sunrise at the lodge facility. After there, embark on the journey to the South in Bwindi through the Ishasha sector where you will have a tree climbing lions experience. Observe the lions as they climb the acacia trees and figs in the Ishasha sector. After that, continue with the three hours journey to Bwindi’s Impenetrable National Park.
There will be a lunch stopover in Kihihi. After lunch, continue to the park and check in at the lodge facility on arrival. Relax in the evening and have a walk as you enjoy the sights of the forest. The lodge staff will serve you dinner at sunset and accommodate you for the night.
Have an early meal in the morning. After, go for a briefing about the gorilla tracking activity with the game Rangers. When the briefing is done, continue and explore Bwindi impenetrable forest as you track the mountain gorillas. The activity will take about six hours and you will have 60 uninterrupted minutes when you encounter the gorillas, for you to enjoy the moment as you take pictures and learn more about gorillas.
Transfer back to the lodge after the activity and have yourselves served a mouthwatering lunch. After lunch, head to the Batwa villages for an extraordinary cultural experience with the indigenous pygmies, know more about their adaptations to the tropical rainforests and their hunter gatherer life. Head back to the lodge at sunset and have an appetizing dinner and stay overnight.
Breakfast will be served at the lodge at sunrise. After breakfast, you will embark on the journey back to Kampala which will take about 10 hours. You will have a lunch stop over at the equator where you will feast on local foodstuffs. After lunch, continue with the journey to Kampala city.
