Injured and orphaned animals, some of which are through poaching, illegal pet trade and habitat destruction are brought to this place and harbored there. Uganda Wildlife Education Center is home to both indigenous and exotic wildlife like giraffes, lions, chimpanzees, crocodiles and various bird species.
Local and international tourists fill this place to observe these animals in a spacious natural habitat.
The place continues to evolve and expand its conservation education and research efforts as well as serve as a hub for wildlife enthusiasts, researchers and the general public with the goal of protecting Uganda’s biodiversity.
